Divergent Summer Style (Guest Post)

Instyle wrote a recent article announcing that Veronica Roth is releasing a series companion book about Four (read here) so I made outfits inspired by the factions for summer. Keep an eye out for the second part of this article on my blog soon!

Leather Skirt, Black Booties, Red Lipstick, Leather Trim Tee, Grey Maxi, Black Sandals, Black Clutch , Blue Dress, Brown Oxfords, Brown Bag.

The dauntless had a very dark, edgy style. The leather skirt I chose is classier than most since it is a pencil skirt instead of a mini. The t-shirt is dressed up with the leather trim and black ankle boots are summer appropriate with the cutouts and open toe. Red lipstick and a fishtail braid make the look a little more feminine but still edgy.

The abnegation were all about simplicity and modesty. The grey maxi is simple but still interesting with the rings at the top, and a maxi keeps you covered. The Abnegation wore their hair in a bun, so I chose a slightly messy one and black flat sandals and a black clutch are simple but chic.
The erudite always wear one article of clothing that is blue and look very intelligent. The shirtdress with the belt, oxfords, and messenger bag look slightly nerdy without going overboard with fake glasses. The ponytail is interesting with the twist on the side and would keep your hair out of your face while studying.
